Founder

I founded Gold & Olive because I never quite saw myself in beauty. As an Asian American woman with almond eyes, I was constantly trying to make products “work” that were never designed for me in the first place. And it wasn’t just about lashes or eyeliners—it was about the absence of connection, the quiet message that I wasn’t considered. Gold & Olive exists to rewrite that message—not only for me, but for everyone who’s ever felt left out of the beauty narrative.

Beauty products were never supposed to make us feel like we needed to become someone else. They were meant to help us celebrate who we already are.

Gold & Olive’s mission is to create functional, high-performance eye makeup that reflects the diversity of real people—starting with communities like the AAPI community, which has long been overlooked in this space.

But our goal goes far beyond product. I don’t just want people to connect with our formulas or packaging—I want them to feel like they belong. When someone tells me they’ve never had a mascara that held their curl, or that our primer finally worked for them, or that they saw our branding and instantly felt understood—that’s the magic. That’s why this brand exists.

Grateful that you're here,

Felicia Brown
